Join us for a wonderfully spirited celebration of Torah and Learning at the consecration of The Einhorn Center for Jewish Education’s newest students and Simchat Torah. Immediately following Sukkot, we observe Simchat Torah, a day during which we celebrate the completion of the annual reading of the Torah. As part of the celebration, the Torah scrolls are taken from the ark and carried or danced around the synagogue. We then hear the chanting of the concluding lines of the fifth book of the Torah, Deuteronomy, immediately followed by the opening verses of Genesis. This practice represents the cyclical nature of the relationship between the Jewish people and the reading of the Torah. Come pray, dance, and sing with us at this music filled, joyful celebration!
