Learning About Gender Diversity: Perspectives from Jewish Tradition & Contemporary Life

7:00 PM - 8:00 PMGender Expansiveness 101: Transgender, cisgender, nonbinary, genderqueer... what is the meaning of these terms, and why are they important? Come learn about our expanding knowledge of gender, including the diverse ways people experience gender. This will be an introductory workshop with an informative session followed by a Q&A discussion. Our speakers will be Ze’evi Simcha Tovlev (they/them) is a Reform cantorial student, a cantorial intern at Temple Gates of Heaven, & a graduate of the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at HUC-JIR & Ariel Ezekiel Tovlev (he/him or they/them) is a Reform rabbinical student & a graduate of the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at HUC-JIR.
