One of the more beautiful hikes on the southeastern shoreline of Lake George is Pilot Knob
Ridge Hike. This hike, on the east side of Lake George, is a short but moderate (elevation gain of 1,300 ft) hike. We will travel through forest till reaching the Ridge at 0.7 miles. Take a moment to relax
at a Gazebo overlooking Lake George. From there, continue at a leisurely pace along
the Blue trail for ~1.2 mile that leads to a waterfall before heading back.

Total roundtrip distance~3.8 miles.

Following the hike, the Rosen family has generously invited us  for a BBQ at their home, overlooking the lake.
  8:30 am – Meet at CBE Parking Lot for Carpooling (feel free to chip in for gas)
  8:45 am – Depart For Pilot Knob Ridge
10:00 am - Arrive at Pilot Knob Ridge Trail Head
11:00 am – Arrive at Lookout w/Gazebo with Bench and Sweeping View of Lake George
12:00 pm - Arrive at waterfall at on Pilot Knob Ridge 
12:30 pm – Depart waterfall heading back to Gazebo on the lookout
 2:00 pm – Depart parking lot, for short (7 min.) drive to Rosen Camp on Lake George
 6:30 pm -  Return to CBE Parking Lot (approx.)
