One of the best family-friendly hikes on the southeastern shoreline of Lake George is Sleeping Beauty Mountain. Sleeping Beauty Mountain on the east side of Lake George is a moderate hike with a few steeper switchbacks. This is a short hike of only 1.8 miles from Darcy Clearing to the summit (3.6mi Round Trip) and has difficulty level of moderate because of the elevation gain of 1000. If the weather is nice we will relax on the summit, enjoying the views & fall foliage before heading back down the mountain at a leisurely pace. On the drive home we have been invited to stop at the Rosen Family Camp on Lake George for a CookOut on the patio overlooking the lake. This event is free and open to all members of the Congregation. 

8:30AM – Meet at CBE Parkingg Lot for Carpooling
8:45AM – Depart For Sleeping Beauty Mountain
10:30AM Arrive at Darcy Clearing Trail Head
~12:30PM – Arrive at Summit
~1:45PM – Depart Summit
3:00PM – Depart Darcy Clearing, heading for Rosen Camp on Lake George
3:45PM – Arrive  Rosen Camp  
6:30PM Return to CBE Parking Lot
