"Gender Expansiveness in Judaism Today" Using our history of expansive gender in Judaism as well as our knowledge about gender today, many Jewish communities are creating innovative ways to incorporate gender expansiveness into Jewish ritual. Learn about the cutting-edge Jewish reforms happening now to expand the Hebrew language, Hebrew prayers, & Jewish rituals to be affirming for Jews of all genders. Our speakers will be Ze’evi Simcha Tovlev (they/them) is a Reform cantorial student, a cantorial intern at Temple Gates of Heaven, & a graduate of the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at HUC-JIR & Ariel Ezekiel Tovlev (he/him or they/them) is a Reform rabbinical student & a graduate of the Rhea Hirsch School of Education at HUC-JIR.
