Interested in sending your kids to an exciting Jewish camp this summer? Two great choices are available in the beautiful Berkshires minutes away; Camp Eisner and Crane Lake Camps. For information contact our own Beth Emeth Camp Ambassador, Sarah Weissman through her email at or contact the camps directly through the URJ website at URJ Eisner and Crane Lake Camps.

Good news from Louis Bordman and Debbie Shriber, the directors of Eisner and Crane Lake camps. The good news is that they have a return rate of over 95%. The camps have never had returning campers sign up as quickly as were able to acccommodate all returning campers for at least one session for next year. That said, the camps still have spaces available for the next few months. So if you are interested, or planning for your children to attend this summer, it's time to begin the process by contacting the directors directly through the camp websites.

The Jewish Federation of Northeastern New York has scholarships avaialble to help children and college students to attend Jewish overnight camps as well as Jewish travel experiences. Because funding is limited, decisions will be based on financial need determined by completion of a detailed questionaire. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2013 so get them in as early as possible. For questions contact Deborah Goldstein at the federation at 783 - 7800 ext. 230, or by email . Good luck!!
